The Hand of Rex
Ay m8s.
This is going here for when I eventually decide to start actually writing for this Chaos Renegades Warband.
Brief summary;
* Jaded former Guardsmen who served under Sebastion before his death
* Held Sebastion in high regards due to his assurance of their safety during the Heresy
* As time wore on, these regards became reverence; by 40k, Sebastion is worshipped as a minor god by those who remain
* Initially formed from penal legions and enemy turncoats, primary tactics are horde fighting and suicide tactics goaded on by enforcers
* In 40k, they are now led by Dark Mechanicus Magos Extemarus [bio to follow]

Ay boss, I'm still here.
I'm always here.
Depression, college, and running a small business may eat my time, but you chaps are always on my mind in one form or another.
I try to write down my ideas, but as I said, I don't always have the time.

It's always nice to have Chaos forces, so it's good to see you and see how eager you are. And I'm pretty much in the same boat, except I'm about to be shipped off to work. No business for me.
I'll be the first one to give you a solid, fair review of whatever you write up so you have feedback and know someone is reading.

This sounds like a pretty boss idea. I assume they must be rather numerous to support those tactics. Do they hold onto Seb's defensive tactics at all?

Alright, boss; been busy getting my business up and running, and college is shit, but I have ideas again, so I hope to at least eke out something soon-ish. Thanks for the vote of confidence in this matter....that's totally not sarcastic, btw. It just seems like it should be. I'll try to have a bit more of an in-depth write-up up soon; probably a short page on the wiki.
Numerous? Numerous doesn't begin to touch it.TwistofCain wrote:This sounds like a pretty boss idea. I assume they must be rather numerous to support those tactics. Do they hold onto Seb's defensive tactics at all?
Unlike Legions or Warbands, quantity is very much the quality in this cult.
With every planet they ravage, more unwilling cultists join the throng thanks to the Magos's techno-heresy; think zombies, but less dead.
As for holding onto Seb's tactics, think of them more as a supplement; they started off as the cannon fodder for the big guns, but when the big guns finally got tired, they were still cannon fodder.
I imagine the Magos, being a holdover from when Seb was still alive,
- Spoiler:
- Not that I'm implying he's dead by 40k
