The Battle of Ostium

Post by TwistofCain on Thu Aug 06, 2015 3:40 am

As we know, Ostium is the homeworld of the Black Augurs. During the Heresy, the Thunder Kings are sent to take it and suffer huge losses, only to suffer MORE losses when they turn on each other back on Alessia. When I first wrote it, it involved the Entombed as well, but I remember the Entombed being cut for...some reason. On their page, they still fight there, so are they really cut? If why, why did that happen?

As a secondary note, if the Entombed are out for good, their replacement will be Titans and such. I don't really have many ideas for the Legio Canem, though, aside from their name ("Void Hounds", per Lore's suggestion) and the fact that they are fairly small, but with high-quality engines and pilots, and a bullish attitude.

Wish I could be more help on this. My advice is to write up Legio Canem anyway - you might need them somewhere else. And... "Void Hounds" might be too close to other things. How about "Blood Hounds"? cat (Pitbulls?)

Oh, I definitely wanna write up the Legio. Every Primarch needs at least a handful of towering death machines. Wink I just have a dearth of ideas at the moment. Really, my well has been mostly dry for a long time, to be frank.

Dang, really? Well, it did come from Lore originally, so as sad as it makes me I can't discount the possibility that he snagged it from somewhere else. Maybe Pit Hounds? Hounds of Roofdrak came to mind, but Moorcock might bust my ass for that one.

We have Void Angels and a Void King, I don't think we need a trifecta. Pit Hounds could work, or you could even go to "Pit Fighters" and have the low and high gothic be only loosely related.

First thing with a Titan Legion is to think about its Forge World. Are they Martian Orthodox (implies a younger world) or engaged in a schism?

I followed up on the notion of controversies in the Mechanicum.  Some of the ideas there might help. cat
